Deborah Keiner Fine Art

Join me in the excitement of a quilt show! I participate annually at the Vermont Quilt Festival in June. I am happiest when viewing the art quilts of other quilters and being inspired to make my next work of art! Fabric is my medium, and creating a new quilt is a passion. I love color, texture, and as you can see, I love geometry. I work in my studio as often as I can, and my family supports me in my love of art, color and fabric!
I have been sewing and quilting for many years, and I love to pass on my passion for quilting. I have worked with a first grade class for the past five years, and every year, the kids make a quilt - yes, they sit at the sewing machine and sew! Last year, I helped to make an "Underground Railroad" Quilt with a fourth grade class. All of the fourth grade students participated! In 2016, I was the "Artist in Residence" at New Boston Central School, and I worked with 80 fourth graders as they made 4 quilts representing the seasons! I teach sewing and quilting in New Boston, NH, and I am thrilled when I get a student hooked on quilting. I volunteer my time at the Whipple Free Library in New Boston, and teach sewing and quilting in a lovely big room at the library. Please view my site, and enjoy the colors, and the shapes incorporated in the quilts. I moved to Henniker< NH in October, 2017, continue all of my activities in New Boston.
Look for classes at the Whipple Free Library in New Boston, NH in January, February and March of 2020. Classes in 2022 may be held a quilt shop in Henniker or at the Henniker Community School.
